Occupational Therapist's are equipped with the knowledge and understanding that new mom's (parent's) and baby's need all the support available when navigating the new role that is mother(parent)hood. Through individualized and comprehensive care, we provide services to address the needs of both baby AND mom. The key to thriving is nurture for both mom and baby.

We can assist with determining the right size flanges, come up with a pumping plan, assist with receiving health insurance covered breast pump, and so much more!

For Baby:
Comprehensive developmental assessment
Comprehensive feeding assessment (breast and/or bottle)
Assistance with positioning, sleep, and equipment needed/recommended
Referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed
For Mom:
Identifying and learning coping strategies and mindfulness techniques to help manage mental health challenges and post-partum blues
Positioning assessment for pain involved with holding/feeding baby
Comprehensive assessment of breast before, during, and after feeding
Education on positioning and latching while feeding
Education on optimizing milk supply
Pumping support to include a pump assessment of size and efficiency, education on storing of milk, schedule for pumping and more
Support and planning for returning to work
For Family:
Assisting with roles and how to assist mom and baby
Educating on post-partum conditions and how to best care for birthing parent
Getting back to routines and hobbies
Assessing family mental health and concerns
